Social Media Intern
About the Role
Bangalore Chess Club is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to help capture and showcase the energy of its growing community.
This is a hands-on, content-first role where you’ll attend live events, create engaging content, and help build a strong social media presence.
A key part of the role is being present at weekend events — capturing matches, player reactions, behind-the-scenes moments, and turning them into engaging content.
What you’ll do:
Attend weekend events to shoot videos and photos
Create 3–5 pieces of content per week (Reels, posts, carousels)
Edit content into clean, engaging social media formats
Suggest creative ideas, trends, and formats
Write captions and maintain a consistent brand voice
Coordinate with the team and share updates
Track performance and identify what works
Capture the personality and vibe of the chess community
Requirements
Comfortable shooting and editing on phone or camera
Basic understanding of Instagram Reels and trends
Reliable and able to attend weekend events consistently
Creative, proactive, and takes initiative
Interest in chess or community events is a plus
