About the Role

Econsh Alternatives is a manufacturing startup focused on creating environmentally conscious solutions. This internship offers a hands-on role in core operations, working closely with the founding team to manage procurement, vendors, logistics, and day-to-day manufacturing processes.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, fabricators, and labourers, including site visits across Bengaluru.
  • Negotiate pricing, quality, timelines, and payment terms.
  • Procure raw materials, consumables, and other operational needs.
  • Ensure smooth progress by collaborating with labourers and manufacturing teams.
  • Track orders, inventory, deliveries, and operational expenses.
  • Oversee material movement and logistics.
  • Compare quotations and make cost-effective decisions.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement simple systems to improve efficiency.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational challenges and ensure follow-through.

This is a practical, on-the-ground role ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

Requirements

Core

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.

  • Fluency in Kannada and English; understanding Hindi, Tamil, or Telugu is a plus.

  • Comfortable riding a two-wheeler; driving a car is preferred.

  • Confident in interacting with vendors, labourers, and suppliers.

  • Willingness to travel and work outside a desk setup.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

  • Resourceful, adaptable, and a natural problem-solver.

  • Passion for environmentally conscious solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience in operations, procurement, manufacturing, supply chain, or vendor management.
